Important Information
At HOWL MULTISPORTS, we want every swimmer to feel confident, supported, and fully informed before entering the water.
This page brings together all the essential details you need to know about our sessions, safety standards, lake requirements, and how we operate. Whether you're new to open water or a regular at the lake, these guidelines help us keep every swim safe, enjoyable, and accessible for all abilities.

- Swim within designated areas and respect lake rules.
- We reserve the right to stop any session if conditions become unsafe.

Weather & Water Conditions
Open water conditions can change quickly. We actively monitor:
- Water temperature.
- Visibility.
- Weather forecasts.
- Environmental risks.
Sessions may be cancelled or adjusted at short notice for safety reasons.
Health and Welfare
Every effort has been made to ensure our sites are safe to use for Open Water Activity and we regularly undertake water quality tests, however these provide a “snap shot” indication of the suitability, and do not mean there is a complete absence of potential pathogens. There are simple practices that users should adopt to minimise the risk of infection:
- Cover cuts and abrasions, however minor, with sticking plasters and avoid swimming if you have deep cuts.
- Please do not swim if you have fresh open wounds.
- After swimming always wash hands in fresh water before eating.
- Take a full shower at the earliest opportunity.
- Try not to ingest water while swimming.
- All swimming kit (wetsuit, costume, goggles, hat etc) should be washed in clean water and thoroughly dried prior to being used at other sites.
You should seek medical advice should you fall ill after swimming in open water, for example vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, high fever, flu-like symptoms, signs of ear, nose or throat infection.
And contact us to let us know.
